Terms and conditions

Khuvela is an online marketplace that connects people seeking coaching ("clients") with independent coaches ("coaches") offering life, executive, leadership, career, business, health & wellness, relationship, mindset, financial and group coaching. Khuvela provides the platform for discovery, booking, payment processing and communication. Khuvela is not itself a coaching provider and is not a party to the coaching relationship between a client and a coach.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your sign-in details confidential. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use Khuvela.

Coaches are independent professionals, not employees of Khuvela. Coaches are responsible for the accuracy of their profiles, qualifications and credentials, for delivering the sessions they accept, and for complying with the professional and legal obligations that apply to their practice. Khuvela may remove a listing that is inaccurate, misleading or harmful.

A booking is confirmed when the client completes payment (or, where payment is arranged directly, when the coach accepts). Instant requests are sent to matching coaches and are confirmed to the first coach who accepts. Prices are shown in South African Rand unless stated otherwise.

Where card payments are processed through the platform, payment is collected at checkout. Khuvela deducts a service fee (commission) from coach earnings on each paid session: 20% for coaches on the Free plan, 15% for coaches on Pro and 10% for coaches on Pro+. The applicable rate is shown to coaches on the pricing page and in their coach hub before they publish pricing.

A client may cancel a confirmed session up to 24 hours before the scheduled start for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours, or missed sessions, may be charged in full at the coach's discretion. If a coach cancels, the client receives a full refund or a rescheduled session. Group session seats are refundable up to 48 hours before the programme starts.

You agree not to misuse the platform: no harassment, no false reviews, no scraping, no attempting to circumvent payments, and no use of Khuvela for anything unlawful. Coaching is not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and content on the platform should not be relied on as such.

Reviews must reflect genuine sessions and honest experience. Khuvela may remove reviews that are fake, abusive or unrelated to a real booking.

Khuvela provides the platform "as is" and is not liable for the outcome of any coaching engagement, for the conduct of coaches or clients, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act.
